520			_aThe most beauitful journey one can take in Jamaica today is along the 33-mile road from Kingston to Portland through the Blue Mountains, home of Jamaica's famous coffee. Coffee is king in the Blue Mountains and Blue Mountain coffee is considered the world's best. The film follows a young Jamaican couple on a two day trip, sharing the environmental beauty and the interesting people they meet on the way. In this high altitude mountain range that produces the best coffee, the road allows breathtaking vistas of the steep peaks and valleys still in their original state of nature, undisturbed by man. What makes the journey even more beautiful is the astonishing variety of rare flowers and trees which drip onto the roadside. There are exotic agapanthus, azaleas, lilies, naturtiums, peonies, gladioli, forget-me-nots, groves of hydrangeas, tree ferns and honeysuckle. A special feature of the film is the eighteen spectacular waterfalls that splash across the Blue Mountain road. There is footage of the downhill bicycle tours, Hollywell National Park where one can stay in log cabins, jet-set hideaway Strawberry Hill Hotel, the Gap Cafe's famous hummingbirds, Newcastle Army station, the coffee growers at Section and the beautiful gardens of Starlight Chalet. The Blue Mountain road is becoming Jamaica's newest tourist attraction. This film is intended to be a medium of preservation of the environmental and ecological treasures to be found on the road through the Blue Mountains of Jamaica.
