504 _aRev. Enos Nuttall (1842 - 1916), arrived in Jamaica in 1862 as a Methodist Missionary but was ordained as an Anglican priest in 1866. In July 1880 Rev. Nuttall was elected as Bishop of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands at 38 years of age. He would serve in this capacity for 36 years as well Primate and Archbishop for the West Indies. In his capacity as Archbishop, Rev. Nuttall enabled the Anglican Church to transition smoothly after disestablishment and facilitated the founding of several churches during this period.
