This manuscript gives a true account and relation of Henry Morgan's last expedition against the Spaniards by virtue of a commission given unto me by his Excellency Sir Thomas Modiford, Governor General of his Majesty Island of Jamaica with the advice and approbation of his Majesty Honourable Council fully assembled prosecution of which he humbly presented on January 31, 1671; Includes Morgan's account of his attack on Panama. It also includes details of his commission of July 22, 1670, to attack and destroy Spanish shipping and to attack Spanish possessions so as to prevent a Spanish attack on Jamaica. This manuscript was purchased in October 1958 from Kjeld Helweg Larsen who pointed out that this manuscript once belonged to the Sir Thomas Phillipps collection.
