This is a photograph of the "rare tropical birds" of Air Jamaica serving as maids of honor as Elsa Ostermand and Craig Valarik board their jet as a prelude to being married in flight. The couple, members of the Steel City Golf Club of Pittsburgh, which had chartered the jet for a visit to Jamaica, decided to be married en route with ceremony performed by a Pittsburgh judge, another member of the group. The wedding took place during the first eight minutes of light while the aircraft was still within the boundaries of Pennsylvania and the justice's jurisdiction.
