On Dec. 16, 1948, Mr. A Greech James the Colonial Secretary attended an exhibition of Jamaican Arts at Foyles Gallery. The Exhibition was opened by Mr. Phillip, Director of Art in the Arts Council and was attended by Mr. Digby, Keeper of the Department of Textiles, at the Victoria and Albert Musuem and by Mr. Molesworth, Keeper of Architecture and Sculpture at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
