This is a library plan for Jamaica that was done by Nora Bateson. The first part of the book gives an introduction to the life and culture of Jamaica, purpose and value of public libraries and the essentials of a library service. It then goes on to examine the existing library and book services in Jamaica, which included a brief history about the parish libraries that existed at the time. Included also is an appendix on library buildings and a blueprint of a suggested layout of parish centre library building. The book has hard covers.
