The program was done for a conference held by Department of History and Arcaheology, The University of the West Indies. The opening ceremony took place on thursday october 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Regional Headquarters of the University of the West Indies in the Council Room. The conference held was under the theme: "The Terror Spread: The Morant Bay Rebellion and Jamaican History. The Keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Swithin Wilmot Senior a lecturer in History at UWI Mona. His keynote adress came under the theme: " The Road to Morant Bay: Politics in free Jamaica, 1838-1865."
