These posters were done by the National Library of Jamaica for an exhibition that was done September- December 1985. The exhibition outlines the efforts made by Jamaicans over the centuries to provide shelter for themselves. The exhibition is divided into six (6) sections: Arawak & Spanish Period up to 1660, Housing during Slavery 1660-1838, Post Emancipation Housing 1838-1900, Housing 1901-1950, Housing 1951-Present and Housing in the Future.
