The Clive Taffe Information and Resources Centre (IRC), your premier source for information from the Jamaica Tourist Board. The IRC is a leading Tourism information hub in Jamaica and the Caribbean, serving a diverse clientele that includes students at all educational levels, trade researchers, and tourism enthusiasts both locally and internationally.

Our collections feature a wide variety of books, journals, and audiovisual materials, available in both physical and digital formats, with some items dating back to the 1950s. Established in the early 1960s as a photographic collection, the IRC was reorganized around 1982 to include additional resources. Today, we operate within the Marketing Department, catering to the tourism information needs of clients worldwide.

The mission of the IRC is to manage and facilitate access to relevant and current information resources, that support the organization’s goals and assist our clients in the tourism sector. We strive to fulfill this mission by:

·         Providing timely and relevant in-house collections in various formats.

·         Ensuring efficient access to remote electronic resources, including online databases and publications.

·         Supporting staff in achieving the organization’s objectives.

·         Offering appropriate services to students, researchers, and the broader global community.
