Welcome to the Institute of Jamaica's Library Catalogue! Our library network made up of five specialized /reference libraries and one lending library for children. Our libraries aims to preserve and share Jamaica’s rich cultural, historical, and natural heritage. Explore our catalogues which serve as a window to knowledge, discovery, and inspiration for researchers, students, and the general public.
Each library reflects the distinctive focus of its museum: from the powerful legacy of Marcus Garvey and the enduring spirit of Simón Bolívar, to the treasures of Jamaica's tangible and intangible culture, the wonders of Jamaica’s flora and fauna, and the stories of our nation’s history and heritage. Within these collections are rare manuscripts, research publications, archival documents, and multimedia resources that provide invaluable insights into Jamaica’s identity and its connections to the wider world.
We invite you to explore, learn, and be inspired by the wealth of knowledge contained within these libraries—resources that preserve the past, inform the present, and empower the future. For more information on our libraries go to https://iojlibraries.org.jm/
